This is a professional, wire studio recorder, a real rarity in this category.

Made in Denmark, firm BANG&OLUFSEN, in 1948-50. This machine in the picture has used by RADIO TONICA, in Denmark. This is a combinated machine, 2 in 1: gramophone and wire recorder. This firm has fabricated almost all the component of the machine (for example the head of the gramophone, the loud-speaker, and the condensers, etc.)
The sound of the machine as beautiful as a good open-reel tape recorder. It has double vacuum-tube (2X UL41), little sound-distortion, great dinamics and output.

The United States has made the machine like this one in that time (Webster Chicago Mod. 80), but the sound of Beocord machine is much the best quality.
